Graystone Ale House Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Slow service and a long wait for our drink order. After getting our drinks we placed our food order. Things got better from then on. We ordered wings and appetizers. The food was pretty good and our waitress came back often to check on our group. I would give 5 stars but it all started out slow. I would go back and try other items on the menu.

My sister and I stopped here for lunch during the week. There were no cars in the parking lot, (that should have been a clue, right?) but we were starving and we unfortunately were not drinking beer. Don't go here if you're in that situation. The food was BAD. The server said the fish (fried) was "white, fluffy, delicious..." It was strangely dark, mostly breading, and fishy. My turkey burger came with "cranberry aoili", which was pink mayo. Not tasty in the least. We had iced tea and a diet soda, and our bill was 28.90 plus the tip. This is a bar with the kind of precooked food you pull out of the freezer and throw in a deep fryer. Service was nothing to write home about. There's nothing around it but Costco, which is where we were headed. My sister said "I got a way better "meal" at Costco (samples) and it was free!" I guess it would be a good place to meet your friends for drinks if you're young and don't mind a loud environment and are used to eating trashy fast food. But if you want atmosphere, decent food and honesty in your server, go elsewhere. This place is expensive, and we left feeling like we got ripped off.

For some reason, the staff always seems to be annoyed that customers are in their restaurant. Even for carry out. Stopped in, told the greeter, who seemed very busy holding up his podium, that I had a carry out order. He responded with such care while merely pointing to the bar and saying only "at the bar". I took that to assume that's where I must go without any assistance from him to get my order. Then it really got fun. Stood there attempting to get noticed by the inattentive bar staff who spent their time talking and continuing to wait on the customers already sitting at the bar. I waved, I jumped, I flashed my credit card, and even tried a quick dance before a bartender finally was kind enough to look at me and say "yes??" Oh...so kind of you. I need my food. Finally...I got my food. And it was not at all worth this frustration and wait. 1) find a better wait for your customers to get their carry out without having to fend for themselves at the bar 2) teach your bartenders to be attentive beyond the customers at the bar with wads of cash sitting in front of them 3) make the food worth the wait. Will I give them another try? Oh....NO!

I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. This is the perfect place to come and just have fun and enjoy the food. Their outside fire/ seating area is perfect for date night and drinks.

Overpriced bar food plated like a restaurant describes it best. They do change the menu seasonally and their wings are great. However what decided it's fate with me was the price of drinks. I ordered a specialty drink, one that I love and they don't have on the drink menu. One pint costed me $15. Tried to talk to the manager which was a horrible idea. She was mean, rude, and literally laughed at me as I walked out. Never have stepped foot in this establishment since that incident. There are places with the same food, same serving size, and better prices close by. If you want to pay $12 a plate for bar food, this is your joint. I'll be over at the Rite Place.

For $86 for 3 people (we each had 2 beers), it was not worth the price. Service was ok and the food was sub average. We got charged $1.99 extra for a salad which should have been included with a steak dinner or at least the waitress should have mentioned the upcharge. Drove a little further the next night and ate at Mill Home Supper Club in Kiel. We had an extra person in our party and the bill came to $68 with a great salad bar included. Not worth the money but the beer selection is great.

First visit burgers all around. Cooked right, tasty and the pretzel bun was soft and a nice addition. The service was okay, slow but with a smile and our server got it all right. Not over the top but I'd go back next time I'm in the area. Oh, if there's a Packer game in progress font go for a meal. It probably will be packed and, well, Go Bears!

Don't waste your time. I had a burger and the meat was gray and tasteless. Really disgusting and it was topped with re-hydrated onions. If you want a great burger in De Pere, try Bilotti's Italian on Broadway. They make a real fine burger.

Don't let the name fool you, Graystone ale house is really an upgraded version of The Bar, which isn't a bad thing. It is owned by the same people. The outside is nice looking and the inside, while it does resemble the layout of The Bar, everything has been upgraded, nicer fixtures, seating, bar area, etc. They do have a great selection of beers on tap, everything from peroni to hinterland and even central waters. Even better, between 3 and 6 they offer domestic tap and bottles for 2 bucks and craft beers and a handful of cocktails with premium liqour (like Jim beam and absolute) for just three bucks. Service is very good (we were sitting at the bar). As far as the food, it's average, typical bar stuff.... They could do a few things to improve some selections, but overall the food is decent. I'm very happy East De Pere has a decent place to go for pretty good food and drink!

I really wanted to like this place.... But it was terrible. It started as 20 minute wait with over a dozen tables open... Ok fine we can just get a drink an wait at the bar.. NOT. Waited at the bar without being greeted or served our entire wait time. Mind you it was not busy. Finally got sat and drinks took another 8 minutes. Ordered our food and an appetizer. The appetizer came out another 25 minutes later after people sat after us were already served their meals. When we finally got our meal and surprise surprise... It was wrong. Wow. Complete disappointment. Horrendous service ok food which is overpriced for what you get anyway. Stay away.

Ordered the Ginger Chicken salad which came with a ginger peanut dressing which had the consistency of peanut butter and therefore was not possible to actually dress the salad with. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he said they get that complaint all the time, and the chef won't do anything about it.

Been there twice now and it's a nice bar. It's clean, spacious, service is friendly and good tap beer selection. I think we would only go there to drink from now on though. The food is not good. Everything tastes like it's been frozen or from a box (the mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes, blech!). If I'm gonna pay what I did for dinner there, I would expect the food to be fresh. Sorry, thumbs down on food, thumbs up on beer and atmosphere.

My family and I stopped in on a Sunday to watch some football and catch a quick bit to eat. There were not many people in the restaurant when we arrived, I would say about a quarter of the tables were occupied. It was nice to see that multiple games were being shown, but there was audio for one game with music playing over it and the subwoofer pumping large amounts of bass intermittently. After waiting 15 minutes to enter our order, we proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our food, four plates for four people in a restaurant that didn't seem all that busy. During the 45 minute wait, our server consistently ignored us (my father waving his hand to get her attention multiple times to inquire on our order). It took prompting the hostess to check on our food before it was brought out by the manager instead of our server. 3 of the 4 plates were extremely hot, telling us that they had been sitting under heat lamps for quite a while. The temp of the plates aside, the food was very good, just not worth that long of a wait with so few patrons. Once we finished our meal, we were told our check was on its way but took another 25 minutes to arrive. I'm not sure where the disconnect is with their operations, whether in the kitchen, the wait staff, or the management, but until we hear they have it figured out neither me nor my family members in De Pere will be visiting Graystone again anytime soon.

My husband and I have been there quite a few times and truthfully only go there for the beer. The selection is usually pretty good. As far as the food goes, we find it overpriced and not very good. We used to order the nachos but it was taken off the menu a long time ago. We actually go to a different restaurant after having a few beers there. Recently the service has been a little better, but it was horrible originally. One of the bar staff actually said to us, "you're not the only people here, you know" when we asked for some more beer. We were speechless. After that it took us months to return, and since going back, we haven't seen him, thankfully. They still have a LONG way to go to deliver what I would consider good service.

It's pretty good for bar type food and they have a decent size and variety menu despite a recent reduction of the menu. They do burgers the best in my opinion and have a good Friday fish fry. The service has always been very good, whether it's the waiters or bartenders. Service speed is about average; lunches are usually very quick and dinners can take a little longer. Kid's menu is limited as is just about every restaurant, but my kids do like it there. The host/hostess is always good about getting the kids pictures to color. For bar food, it is a little pricey. $10 a burger is on the high side if you ask me, but they do have lots of options for different buns, cheese, and add-ons. Friday fish fry for perch is about $13 a plate. They have a great tap beer selection or your usual domestics to craft beers. Their craft beer cooler is is great for trying out something new. I've also done their large group room for a wedding party, and have had good success with good waiter/waitress service and good food for a group of 20 or more.

I am delighted with the Graystone's attempt to provide a good sampling of craft beers. However, the service leaves a great deal to be desired. I was there this afternoon. There were several other patrons at the bar. There was one bartender(?) and two other employees/ manager at the bar. The beer list was wrong- many of the beers listed were no longer on tap- and the bartender seemed clueless. Anther patron asked out loud" do I have to get my own beer?" To no avail. It still took 5 or 10 minutes for him to be served. I just returned from San Diego where the people who work at beer bars are trained to know what they are selling. Graystone, if you want to be a craft beer bar you need to do more than offer a lot of beers.

It's a bar, and they have bar food. There's the expectation to go in with. Prices were good, service was VERY friendly, and the beer selection was fantastic. Food was fast and tasty. Wings were meaty and well sauced. Beer was cold and fresh. The place was very busy, yet the waitress didn't forget about us. I'll be back without any doubt.

It's a bar that has pretty generic bar food, but it's not a hole in the wall good bar food. The building is pretty new and it's a large space. There's really no character to it. I imagine it's a good spot if you need a drink and don't really care about the environment you're in. I think the beer selection is good. Service has been ok. Typically the waitstaff is friendly, even if they seem confused about whom to seat when and where. I've had a few experiences where I'll ask for no onions on a wrap, but then they're still included on my side salad. Obviously not a huge deal, but you have to specify everything. I think the food is pretty meh. What I've tasted falls into two categories: greasy bar food or dry, tasteless bar food. Definitely overpriced for what you get.
